WE'RE SO EXCITED!
Isaiah and Julia arrive on Maui tomorrow at 4:53 pm and I cannot wait to see their beautiful faces and give them big hugs. I have been looking forward to this project for some time now and the fact that it is actually here is amazing and surreal. This has been quite a team effort and I am forever grateful from the bottom of my heart to each and every individual who has assisted me with Every Day Light: A Celebration of the International Year of the Reef 2008.
CREATIVE SESSION
On November 24, 2007 the participants met at Kihei Charter School. Once again we created and collaborated - inspired by Every Day Light. We were blessed to have Marine Biologist Liz Foote of PROJECT SEA-LINK spend time with the team and educate us on the the evolution, diversity and importance of the Hawaiian reef. Our reef provides us with big waves, sandy beaches and is home to millions of marine life - many of them found nowhere else on earth. Thanks to our living reef, Hawaii consistently ranks as one of the top tourist destinations in the world. The reef has medicinal benefits such as potential for treatments for many of the world's prevalent and dangerous illnesses and diseases. Last by not least the reef is so amazingly beautiful, spiritual and inspirational.
